VPS Kiosks are expected to deliver benefits to the veteran and the the VA Medical center through improvement of financial controls, increased administrative workflow efficiency, clinical benefits, VA systems integration and extension of services to DoD patients at joint facilities.
Phase II development supports the continued national deployment of self-service kiosk devices and the development and deployment of VistA patches needed by the VPS VetLink software, in support of the release of additional capabilities and enhancements desired to achieve the goal of providing stand-alone devices to clinics within VA Medical Facilities that empower Veteran patients to efficiently and easily perform a variety of administrative, financial and clinical tasks related to their healthcare services and management.
